Using Hot Potatoes to Create Interactive Assessment

The Hot Potatoes is a suite of quiz or drill-authoring software created at the University of Victoria, Canada. It includes six applications, enabling you to create interactive exercises:

Multiple-choice quizzes (JBC)

Gap-fill exercises (JClose)
Text-entry (short-answer) exercises (JQuiz)
Crosswords (JCross)
Jumbled-sentence/jumbled-word (drag-and-drop) exercises (JMix)
Ordering/matching (drag-and-drop) exercises (JMatch)

Hot Potatoes exercises are intended as self-exploratory learning activities where learners do get feedback on wrong answers, and they can have multiple tries to find the right answer to each question.
